Why they sound alike
Macca's track (The Fireman is a pseudonym for Paul McCartney) was released in 2008, six-years after Bruce's 2002 "9/11" tribute album, but the anthemic four-on-the-floor feel, vocal reverb, and melody all suggest the latter's influence. Check out The Rising around 3:28.
